Why poker? When have you decided to play professional poker and why?
I started to play poker for fun, 4 years ago, online and I noticed I could have good results.
What do enjoy playing more: online or live? Why is that?
I would rather play live poker, online poker can takes too much time and plus it feels more real to play face to face with your opponent. Also, there are plenty of locations in Bucharest where you can play live poker; each day a different casino has a poker tournament.
What are the differences between the live and online game?
When playing live, you can see the person you are playing with and his emotions, therefore it is easier to identify his weaknesses.
What type of games do you prefer? Cash games or tournaments?
I prefer tournaments.
What is your approach in poker? Do you choose a certain strategy or you are a flexible player?
I design my strategy when I sit at the poker table, I can easily adapt to my styles of my opponents, and thus I enjoy more playing live poker.
You are a PokerFest regular, you have often won money in this tournament, you win many qualification packages, and how do you explain that?
The qualification tickets were a bet I made with myself, one needs good strategy and discipline for qualifications. Therefore, I believe that these winnings were the result of discipline and patience I have showed.
What other performances have you achieved, besides the ones in PokerFest?
My last worth mentioning performance was in Metropolis Poker Cup, where I came on the 1st place out of 123 de participants, and Malta Poker Dream was also a pleasant experience, I occupied the 11th position out of 506 participants.
In your opinion, is poker a sport of the mind or a game of fortune?
It is a game of the mind, but you also need fortune, the point is to choose the moment you wish for good fortune.
When you are at the game table, which are your most important weapons?
I oscillate well and I obtain the maximum value from the powerful hands, I think this is the best approach.
Are you an analytical or an intuitive player, or rather a combination of both?
I believe I am a combination of both, but sometimes I can intuit exactly the way a certain hand will go.
What is the role of poker in your life?
Poker is a hobby for me.
Where does poker go in your future plans?
As high as possible I hope, I aim to experience the international tournaments as well.
What should a poker player do in order to obtain important results on a constant basis?
The first thing is discipline, to keep learning and to do so both from the best players and from the not so good ones, too.
What other activities do you have except poker? Do you practice any sports?
I have a textile business. I like going to the gym, so I can say I practice fitness.
When you do not play poker, how do you spend your free time?

De ce poker? Când te-ai hotărât să joci poker profesionist și care au fost motivele pentru care ai ales să faci asta?
M-am apucat de poker acum 4 ani pe internet “for fun” şi am văzut că pot scoate rezultate.
Ce îți place să joci mai mult: online sau live? De ce?
Prefer să joc live, online îţi ocupă prea mult timp şi în plus este mai real să joci faţă în faţă cu adversarul. De altfel, în Bucureşti ai unde juca live, turnee de poker există unul pe zi în diferite cazinouri.
Care sunt diferențele dintre jocul live și cel online?
Când joci live vezi omul, emoţiile şi găseşti punctele slabe mai uşor la adversari.
Ce jocuri preferi? Cash sau turnee?
Turneele sunt cele care îmi plac mai mult.
Care este abordarea ta în ceea ce priveşte jocul de poker? Ai o strategie pe care ţi-o alegi din vreme sau eşti genul de jucător adaptabil?
Strategia mi-o fac în momentul când mă aşez la masa de joc, mă adaptez foarte bine la stilul adversarilor; de aici şi faptul că sunt atras mai mult de jocul live.
Eşti un cunoscut al PokerFest, ai intrat în bani de multe ori la acest eveniment, câştigi multe pachete de calificare, cum îţi explici acest lucru?
Pot spune că biletele de calificare au fost un pariu cu mine, la calificări îţi trebuie o strategie şi disciplină bine pusă la punct. Pot spune că ceea ce a stat la baza acestor câştiguri, a fost disciplina şi răbdarea de care am dat dovadă.
Ce alte performanţe ai mai avut în afară de cele de la PokerFest?
Ultima performanţă notabilă a fost la Metropolis Poker Cup, locul 1 din 123 de participanţi, la fel şi la Malta Poker Dream a fost o experienţă plăcută, locul 11 din 506 participanţi.
Pokerul, din punctul tău de vedere, este sport al minţii sau joc de noroc?
Este un sport al minţii, dar îţi trebuie şi noroc, ideea e că trebuie să îţi alegi momentul când îţi doreşti să ai noroc.
Care sunt principalele tale arme când te aşezi la masa de joc?
Oscilez foarte bine şi scot maxim de valoare din mâinile puternice, cred că asta e cea mai bună abordare.
Ești un jucător analitic, unul intuitiv sau o combinație între cele două?
Cred că o combinaţie, dar am şi unele momente când simt exact cum va decurge mâna ce urmează.
Care este rolul pokerului în viața ta?
Pot spune că pentru mine pokerul este un hobby.
Unde îl poziționezi în planurile tale de viitor?
Cât mai sus sper, mi-am propus să încerc să atac şi turneele de afară.
Ce ar trebui să facă un jucător de poker ca să obțină constant rezultate importante?
În primul rând este nevoie de disciplină, să înveţe în continuu şi de la cei mai buni jucători, dar şi de la cei mai puţini buni.
Ce alte activități ai în afara pokerului? Practici vreun sport?
Mă ocup de o afacere cu textile. În ceea ce priveşte sportul îmi place să merg la sală, deci pot spune că fac fitness.
Când nu joci poker, cum îți petreci timpul liber?
Odihnă, afacerea şi fitnessul.
