Among the latter, the gaming industry can declare itself one of the most affected businesses: live poker festivals.

There is no word that better describes the live poker game than the magical term „socialization”. This is the core of this small and beloved live poker industry. That is the reason why we say that the pandemic froze international live events (WSOP 2020 is the most shocking example) and the national ones as well.

Fans of the local PokerFest circuit have been craving live poker for more than six months and the PokerFest team is at rest, with all the logistical and human infrastructure that was just preparing for a 2020 year, with about 15 festivals and millions in prizes.

Now the unanswered questions are becoming more frequent: when do we resume our activity? When will we see spectacular prizes on amazing live finals? When will we -all the poker fans- meet again in the same location? When does the „Fest” resume? Will WSOP be held in 2021?

Meanwhile, poker clubs operate at half capacity and live players are now accessing the virtual alternative that gives them only a glimpse of live table suspense. Everyone is dreaming of a live poker festival and PokerFest Romania is just getting ready to turn their dream into a live tournament like it used to be.

So, after a long wait, the opportunity to play live came up with the series of NetBet Open tournaments that will be organized by PokerFest and NetBet in Bucharest from October 5th to 11th!

The festival will center a Main Event with 100,000 euros in guaranteed prizes, with a 330 euros buy-in that will be reduced to 230 for those who in time for day 1A, it will also offer a bonus for everyone: an additional stack of 15,000 chips, at a price of 100 euros, during the late entry period of day 1A. The final will be broadcast live on October 11, as in the old days.

Și dacă, după primul șoc, afacerile online s-au dovedit până acum imune la Covid și au înflorit fără precedent, cele live, necesitând interacțiune umană, au primit unda de șoc în plin. Și, printre acestea din urmă, industria jocurilor se poate „lăuda” cu un challenger la topul celor mai afectate business-uri: festivalurile de poker live.

Fanii circuitului autohton PokerFest și-au pus pentru mai bine de șase luni pofta de poker live în cui iar echipa PokerFest a intrat în stare de conservare, cu toată infrastructura logistică și umană ce tocmai se pregătea pentru un an 2020 de pomină, cu circa 15 festivaluri și milioane în premii.

Acum la ordinea zilei sunt întrebările fără răspuns: când reintrăm în ring? Când vom mai vedea sute de mii și milioane în premii la finale live de pomină? Când ne reîntâlnim, toți fanii pokerului, sub aceleași acoperișuri? Când reîncepe ”Festul”? Vom avea un WSOP în 2021?

Între timp, cluburile de poker merg la jumătate din capacitate și jucătorii live recurg la surogatul virtual care nu le oferă decât o aromă palidă din suspansul de la mesele live. Toți visează un festival de poker live și PokerFest România tocmai se pregătește să le transforme visul într-un turneu live ca pe vremuri.

Așadar, după multă așteptare, a apărut la orizont o ocazie de joc live în seria de turnee NetBet Open pe care PokerFest și NetBet s-au încumetat să o organizeze în capitală între 5 și 11 octombrie!
