No matter who will have the power and will politically decide within the state institutions, including those governing and managing our field, gambling, we must further inquire, defend and the interests of the Romanian gaming industry and those of the players, who want to have fun playing in casinos, gaming halls, betting agencies or at home on a site with online license.
Obviously, the recent political unrest and street tumult causes us to follow with interest what will happen with our field in the future. The desire for stability in the social life and economic environment is obvious and desired by all businesses in general and particularly the gambling industry.
This requires that all that was done well in the gaming market shall remain clearly established and continue to cause effects. What should have be done or should be done it must be a priority for the representatives of state and business environment.
So it is possible that after the political environment will rearrange, the representatives of the gambling market to resume talks so that the last legislative additions to become a reality. Clearly, we refer to the Norms. Although we are hopeful, we do have some doubts that the Parliament will adopt them soon, given the present political situation.
What I mean is that we must be careful and we should monitor closely the intentions of the future political power, but also of the public opinion regarding our field, lest the pure Romanian spirit, to dismiss what we have achieved with so much effort over the last 2½ years – ONJN as the only institution to regulate and control, improved legal framework legalizing the online community, results in combating the black market and unfair competition, putting Romania on the European gambling map, particularly through events with international guests organized by our magazine, and many other things, due to the need to change something for the sake of the change, or the desire to destroy something just because that’s not you’re doing, but another’s. You understand what I mean.
It is better to be vigilant and proactive. The gaming industry is on a good path, it is on a certain channel of normality, people started to think more about their business and less on legislative changes, I do hope that in 5 to 10 years from now, we shall not hear about this subject anymore.
The 4th Edition of the ReUnion of Gambling Professionals event taking place on December the 3rd, at the Novotel, will allow you to speak openly about all these aspects: business, law, social responsibility, and image.

Indiferent de cine va fi la putere și va decide politic în cadrul instituțiilor statului, inclusiv cele care reglementează și istrează domeniul nostru, jocurile de noroc, pe noi trebuie să ne intereseze să apărăm și să susținem în continuare interesele industriei jocurilor de noroc din România, și al jucătorilor, al celor care doresc să se distreze jucând în cazinouri, săli de joc, agenții de pariuri sau acasă pe un site online cu licență.
Evident că frământările politice și fierberile străzii din ultima vreme ne determină să urmărim cu interes ce se va întâmpla pe viitor cu domeniul nostru. Dorința de stabilitate a mediului economic și social este evidentă și dorită de tot mediul de afaceri, în general și în particular de industria de gambling, dacă e să vorbim de domeniul nostru.
Pentru asta este nevoie ca ceea ce s-a făcut bine în cadrul pieței jocurilor de noroc să rămână clar stabilit și să continue să-și producă efectele în continuare. Ce trebuie sau trebuia făcut să reprezinte o prioritate pentru reprezentanții statului și al mediului de afaceri.
Așadar, este posibil ca după ce mediul politic se va reașeza, reprezentanții pieței de gambling de la noi să reia discuțiile pentru ca ultimele completări legislative să se întâmple. Clar, ne referim la Norme. Cu toate că sperăm, avem câteva îndoieli că acestea vor fi adoptate prea curând de către Parlament, ținând cont de situația politică prezentă.
Ce vreau să spun este că trebuie să avem grijă și să monitorizăm atent intențiile puterii politice viitoare, dar și a opiniei publice referitoare la noi, pentru ca nu cumva în purul spirit românesc, ceea ce am obținut cu atâta trudă în ultimii 2 ani și jumătate – ONJN ca singură instituție de reglementare și control, cadru legislativ îmbunătățit, legalizarea online-ului, rezultate în combaterea pieței negre și a concurenței neloiale, punerea pe harta gamblingului european a României, în special prin evenimentele cu invitați internaționali organizate de revista noastră, și multe alte lucruri, să nu fie spulberate de nevoia de a schimba ceva de dragul schimbării, sau de dorința de a distruge ceva doar pentru că acel lucru nu e realizat de tine, ci de altul. Înțelegeți ce vreau să spun.
Este bine să fim vigilenți și proactivi. Industria jocurilor de noroc este pe un făgaș bun, se așază pe o anumită matcă a normalității, oamenii încep să se gândească din ce în ce mai mult la afacerile lor și mai puțin la modificările legislative, pentru că sperăm ca 5-10 ani să nu mai auzim de asta.
Ediția a 4-a a evenimentului ReUniunea Profesioniștilor din Gambling din 3 decembrie de la Novotel vă va permite să vorbiți deschis despre toate aceste aspecte: afaceri, legislație, responsabilitate socială, imagine.
A devenit o tradiție ca în prima joi a lunii decembrie să ne vedem cu toții și să dezbatem chestiunile arzătoare ale industriei noastre. Ne vedem pe 3 Decembrie!
