The of the Association of Distance Gambling Organizers together with Mrs. President Nestor attended this year’s event to represent the interests of the Romanian sector and to understand how new trends and innovations in the field can be integrated into the local market.
On the first day of the ICE LONDON 2019 event, the ADGO president, Odeta Nestor, organized a conference for the of the association, bringing together representatives of the online gambling industry and the gambling regulatory authority at the same table, through the presence of the President of the National Gambling Office, Mr. Sebastian Ionescu.
The representatives of Maxbet, Betfair, Casa Pariurilor, Fortuna, Paddy Power, Baum Games, Gold Crest Entertainment, Pokerstars, Unibet, Spacco AGS, SB Tech, Zeal International, Playtech, Stab Group, Kindred Group, Osiris Trading, Winbet, as well as the representatives of ROMBET and AOCR associations attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on the legislative changes that occurred in the gambling industry at the beginning of the year and the way they affect the market, in the online area. Article 4 of the Government Emergency Ordinance 77/2009 defines the participation fee as the amount charged by the operator to the participant, directly, in exchange for the right to gamble. Another topic at the meeting at ICE London was that 2019 is a year with many challenges, in the sense that Romania will hold the European parliamentary elections and the election of the President of Romania, thus being an electoral year, Mrs. President Odeta Nestor recommended to all those involved in the sector, a great deal of attention to any proposals for changes that may take place at the legislative level, concluding that the current business taxation is already at the limit of profitability.

În prima zi a evenimentului ICE LONDON 2019, Președinta AOJND, Odeta Nestor a organizat o conferință pentru membrii asociației, aducând la aceeași masă de discuții reprezentanți din industria online a jocurilor de noroc și autoritatea de reglementare a jocurilor de noroc, prin prezența Președintelui Oficiului Național al Jocurilor de Noroc, dl. Sebastian Ionescu.
La întâlnire au asistat reprezentanții Maxbet, Betfair, Casa Pariurilor, Fortuna, Paddy Power, Baum Games, Gold Crest Entertainment, Pokerstars, Unibet, Spacco AGS, SB Tech, Zeal International, Playtech, Stab Group, Kindred Group, Osiris Trading, Winbet, dar și reprezentanții asociațiilor Rombet și AOCR.
Discuțiile s-au axat pe tema modificărilor legislative apărute la începutul anului, în industria jocurilor de noroc și felul în care acestea afectează piața, în domeniul online-ului. Articolul 4 din OUG 77/2009 face referire la taxa de participare ca fiind definită drept suma de bani percepută direct de la participant de către organizator în schimbul dreptului de participare la joc. Un alt subiect atins în cadrul întâlnirii de la ICE London a fost acela că 2019 reprezintă un an cu multe provocări, în sensul în care în România vor avea loc alegerile europarlamentare și alegerea Președintelui României, așadar fiind un an electoral, doamna Președinte Odeta Nestor a recomandat tututor celor implicați în acest sector, o atenție sporită asupra oricăror propuneri de modificări care pot avea loc la nivel legislativ, conchizând cu faptul că actuala taxare a business-ului este deja la limita profitabilității.
