Game World and the Municipal Sports Club Bucharest have signed a partnership agreement and the largest operator of gambling halls in Romania has become the main sponsor of the women’s and men’s handball teams of CSM Bucharest. 323i20

The collaboration between the gambling operator and one of the most awarded team sports club in Romania is a natural one because both Game World and CSM Bucharest share a set of common values and principles, both wanting to perform and to establish themselves as leaders in the fields in which they operate.

Athletes who made historical performances for Romania, but also athletes who became legends after impressive careers, came to the press conference that took place on the terrace of the largest gambling hall in Romania.
Among the champions present at the event, was Cristina Neagu, a symbol in world women’s handball, awarded four times as the best handball player in the world, Chike Onyejekwe, the captain of the men’s handball team, Adrian Vasile and Eliodor Voica, the main coaches of CSM Bucharest handball teams, professor Remus Draganescu, and also Helmut Duckadam, “the Hero of Steaua football team at Seville”, currently brand ambassador for Game World.

Both, Game World and CSM Bucharest are looking at a long-term collaboration in which the financial contribution offered by the new sponsor to the efforts of the club’s handball teams to succeed in repeating the great performances in international competitions, as happened when the women’s team won the Champions’ League, in 2016 and the men’s team won the Challenge Cup, in 2019. In the next season, the of the two teams will play with the Game World logo on their shirts.

In addition to ing sports, Game World continues the CSR actions organized in the previous years. Among these actions there are two projects that the education and development of young people, “Antrenat de Majorat” and “Bursele Game World”.
The “Antrenat de Majorat” program has already reached its third annual edition. The program is developed and implemented by” Joc Responsabil” Association with the financial from Game World. The purpose of this program is to help young people under the age of 18 to understand how to relate to the types of entertainment for adults and to be able, when the time will come, to make the right decisions and to prevent possible problems, such as compulsive gambling.
Dr. Cristian Andrei is the one who runs seminars with teenagers from all high schools in the country. In the last period these seminars were organized online, via a video conferencing platform. Since the beginning of the year, almost 800 students, from the 11th and 12th grades of high school, participated in these seminars.
“Bursele Game World” is a unique project to university education dedicated to students in psychology at all levels, bachelor, master, and doctorate. The action was created and launched by Game World in 2019 and now the program finished its second edition. The third edition, for the next academic year, will start in October.
15 private scholarships were awarded by Game World to students enrolled in the program at the first edition. For the academic year 2020 – 2021, a difficult period because of the strong impact of coronavirus pandemic on all fields of activity, the company has allocated another 10 scholarships for students, masters, and doctoral students with psychology faculties in Romania.
The success of this action is represented by the number of scholarships awarded and the interest of students for these scholarships. The success of the program is also expressed by the quality of the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses made by the beneficiaries of the scholarships offered by Game World.
