Do you know why I’m talking about people in the first place? Because they’re the ones you interact with the first time you walk into a location and if you don’t feel comfortable around them, then it doesn’t matter what slot machines they have there, if they’re new or older, if they have roulette or not, if they have my favorite game slots or not, it just doesn’t matter.

And I found the people here to be nice, normal, people you could easily exchange a word with and they were quick to answer your questions, seemingly stepping out of the corporate stereotypes I’ve seen in others, and even empathetic when I lost a special. Don’t laugh, but it really is important to have employees who can calm you down if you happen to have a bad time where you can lose your direction. Sometimes when I go to certain arcades, I’m annoyed by the friendliness of the employees there. That’s what management asked them to do, I understand, but less is much. Players need to be given space. You don’t have to be too nosy. People came there to get away from the crowd for a bit, not to get a gang to go to the club later in the evening. I appreciate the privacy I was given at M Planet. Once I got comfortable with the atmosphere I took the initiative in socialising myself, I felt more at ease.

Speaking of atmosphere, you don’t have to have mega parties to have a good time in a game room. I also happened to be at a themed party that day (I understand they usually have parties on Thursdays) and I really liked that they went for simple things that people like: themed but live, quality music, good food and drinks, some catering, nice girls working for them or dancers to create a nice atmosphere. No extravagance.

Just so you know, no one invented hot water in this business, but it’s important to know what suits you, not to overdo anything. And in of the slot machines present in the hall, they have tried to strike a balance, they have pretty much the whole range of game machines that Romanians are used to, and new games and old ones.

I haven’t had the chance to visit them all, but I like the fact that the venues are spread over a generous area, from the new venue on Calea 13 Septembrie to those in Berceni, Costin Georgian, Pantelimon and Eroii Revoluției. As far as I could see, they are all designed to meet the quality standards imposed by the employers. In addition, it seemed to me that the space was judiciously organized. In other words, even if it looked like a smaller hall from the outside, inside everything was well organized, without giving the feeling of crowdedness.

I found their marketing to be very good considering the size of the rooms, where they are located and with a well-calibrated prize arsenal. And you know what’s great about giving out more prizes and at a decent level? People win something, but they don’t lose their com, they believe less in luck and more in the feeling of time spent in an enjoyable, fun way. They don’t barge in here to get rich, but to spend quality time with the friends they have and bring here, or the people they socialise with in the gym.

Their Carnaval Fiesta campaign caught my attention, which will end on May 25, from what the employees here tell me, with a great party and great prizes! The prizes awarded in this campaign will be 152,500 ron.
