Based on this regulation, the foundation of the Committee for Gambling in St. Christopher and Nevis was requested, which was charged with issuing licenses and controlling gambling activity in the islands.
According to the Law on betting and gambling of 1999, the Committee for Gambling can also legally issue licenses to online casinos. Notwithstanding, the licensed sites cannot accept St. Kitts players. The residents of this state are not however legally charged if they place online bets on offshore casino sites.
The situation is the same for sports betting. The online gambling sites licensed in St. Kitts and Nevis cannot take bets from or local residents. The law does not incriminate gambling on foreign online platforms without licenses and does not apply any kind of fines to players doing so.
