The day before the beginning of the European Slot Summit in Bucharest we decided to materialize an old idea of ours, to make an event dedicated to Responsible Gambling. The fact that we planned it for June the 8th, at Hotel Novotel in Bucharest, is because we thought it was a good time to make the European Gambling in Bucharest complete. 3n7334

One of the reasons we decided to make the Practices in Responsible Gaming event is that, throughout history, this area of gambling was seen by the public opinion with some bias in our country, resentment of the Communist era. To gain political capital and sympathy, last spring, the politicians have waved around our industry the threat called „the gambling problem”. If you forgot, we rimind you that one year ago several parliamntaries were submiting a bill devoted to gambling that was putting this Achilles heel of our industry on the spot, threatening to close or restrict completly any gambling operation on the Romanian territory, under the reasoning that many Romanians gamble without being able to stop, threatening their peace of mind and their families.

The fact that our magazine, a neutral media organization, whishes to organize such an event, indicates that we want transparency on this issue and a serious aproach of this problem, which needs to be given all of our attention.

The Players. Although sometimes we forget, we must understand that without players without our customers, who spend money in the gaming halls, the industry could not exist. So, it seems natural that when some of them are full of adrenaline to help overcome the moment and make them understand that gambling is a way of having fun, and nothing more. Budgeting a fee for gambling without exeeding it, is one of the ways in which we will help many people to not go beyond the boundary between entertainment and addiction.

So in our event we will approach the practical tools you need to have when trying to combat a thorny issue like addiction. Theoretically we’re good. We have ideas, but we must recognize that we still have to work on the practical applicability of the current ideas of the responsible gambling programs. If through our discussions we shall succeed to identify one single idea with practical application in our country, then we can say that we must be in that room at the ” Practices in Responsible Gaming „.

Faptul că l-am programat pe 8 Iunie, la Hotel Novotel din București, se datorează faptului că am considerat că e un moment prielnic de a întregii într-un fel Săptămâna Gamblingului European de la București.

Istoria se poate repeta. Unul din motivele pentru care am decis să facem Evenimentul Practica în Jocul Responsabil este că, de-a lungul istoriei, acest domeniu al jocurilor de noroc a fost privit în țara noastră cu o oarecare prejudecată de către opinia publică, resentiment din epoca comunistă. Pentru a acumula capital politic și de simpatie, politicienii au vânturat amenințarea „ludomaniei” deasupra industriei noastre în primăvara anului trecut. Dacă ați uitat, vă reamintim că acum 1 an de zile mai mulți parlamentari depuneau un proiect de lege dedicat jocurilor de noroc care punea pe tapet acest călcâi al lui Ahile al industriei noastre, amenințând cu închiderea sau stricta restricționare a operării jocurilor de noroc pe teritoriul României sub motivația că mulți dintre români joacă la jocurile de noroc și nu se pot opri amenințând liniștea lor sufletească și a familiilor lor.

Faptul că revista noastră, o instituție media neutră, dorește să realizeze un astfel de eveniment denotă că ne dorim transparență pe marginea acestui subiect și abordarea cu seriozitate a acestei probleme ce trebuie să-i acordăm toată atenția noastră.

Jucătorii. Chiar dacă câteodată mai uităm, trebuie să înțelegem că fără jucători, fără clienții noștri, cei care cheltuie în sălile de joc, această industrie nu ar putea exista. Atunci, ni se pare normal ca în momentul în care unii dintre ei sunt cu adrenalina la maxim să-i ajutăm să depășească momentul și să-i facem să înțeleagă că jocul de noroc este o distracție, și nimic mai mult. Bugetarea unei sume de bani pentru joc și nedepășirea ei reprezintă una din căile prin care îi vom ajuta pe mulți să nu treacă dincolo de granița dintre entertainment și adicție.

Operatorii de jocuri de noroc (cazinouri live, săli de joc, agenții de pariuri, operatori de street gaming, viitori operatori de AWP, operatori de online gaming), dar și producătorii/importatorii de aparate de joc, specialiști în resurse umane, psihologi, psihoterapeuți, case de avocatură, lobbyști și reprezentanți ai instituțiilor statului cu rol în reglementarea și controlul jocurile de noroc, cu toții trebuie să participăm activ la identificarea și soluționarea problemelor ce țin de adicție și “Practica în Jocul Responsabil” este un eveniment ce oferă cadrul de discuție pentru astfel de probleme. Așadar, trebuie să găsim o cale în a ne proteja jucătorii!

Practica în Jocul Responsabil și instrumentele sale. În evenimentele noastre am vrut mereu să discutăm la concret despre businessul numit gambling, iar Jocul Responsabil nu trebuie să facă excepție. Așadar, în evenimentul nostru vom avea o abordare către  instrumentele practice pe care trebuie să le avem atunci când încercăm să combatem o problematică atât de spinoasă ca adicția. Teoretic stăm bine. Avem idei, însă trebuie să recunoaștem că încă mai avem de lucrat la zona practică, de aplicabilitate a ideilor din programele actuale de responsible gambling. Chiar și o idee, dacă vom identifica în urma dezbaterilor, cu aplicabilitate practică la noi în țară, atunci putem spune că trebuie să fim în sală la evenimentul “Practica în Jocul Responsabil”.
