After a long period of development during which a strong community was formed, this year it seems that the Romanian live poker had made important progress in order to increase its popularity. The Romanian operator PokerFest has organized a record number of poker festivals, well above the average of previous years. If the annual seasons had a target of 8-10 important events during the first seven years of activity, by the end of this year the season will reach no less than 14 poker festivals organized! 1b4h26

And the end of the event will be equally impressive as this record: a major festival, with prizes of EUR 300,000 guaranteed only in the main tournament. The 14th and last meeting in 2019 of live poker fans will take place between November 25 and December 1 at the Intercontinental Hotel. Here, for seven days, tournaments and cash will be played by a large number of players from around the world.

Further more, even the program of the final festival will be outstanding: beside the EUR 550 Main Event, no less than 11 other tournaments and 5 satellites will take place. Overall, the event will offer 17 playing opportunities, in the most diverse formats, with entrance fees affordable for everyone. There has never been such a full program in the history of the circuit, but it is designed for the estimated magnitude of the event. The Romanian poker community, big and small, will meet at Inter, because poker players, regardless of their caliber, know that they cannot miss such an opportunity.

The festival will bring together Romanian competitors with guests from over 20 countries and, especially from Israel, because 100 Israeli participants are expected at the end of November. For a long time now, Romania represents a favorite destination for poker getaways for this community, with the Israeli Poker Championship operator already a traditional partner for PokerFest. Here comes the IPC particle in the event name: „PokerFest & IPC Bucharest Anniversary Festival”.

Thus, PokerFest ends 8 years of activity. For the devoted team which organize the event since 2011, the 8 years have meant over 100 festivals, over 1000 different tournaments, tens of thousands of participants and more than EUR 10 million prizes. Millions of live sessions have been played at PokerFest, in 5 countries and hundreds of trophies are now honored in the glass case of poker lovers. In other words, the word PokerFest has already entered the history of Romanian poker and is far from having completed its mission.

To the relief of operators in the live poker industry and to the delight of ionate players, the recession of poker started by Black Friday in 2011 seems to have ended in of live poker. Iar finalul va fi pe măsura acestui record: un festival major, cu 300.000 euro în premii garantate numai în turneul principal. A 14-a și ultima întâlnire la joc în 2019 a fanilor pokerului live va avea loc între 25 noiembrie și 1 decembrie la kilometrul 0 al României, în sălile de la hotelul Intercontinental unde timp de șapte zile se vor juca turnee și cash într-un bazin de jucători cu mare participare internațională.

Programul festivalului de final de an este la rândul său excepțional: alături de Main Eventul de 550 euro, se vor juca nu mai puțin de 11 alte turnee și 5 sateliți, în total 17 ocazii de joc, în cele mai diverse formate și cu taxe de intrare pentru toate buzunarele. Niciodată în istoria circuitului nu a existat un program atât de plin, însă acesta este proiectat pentru amploarea estimată a evenimentului. Comunitatea pokerului românesc se va reuni cu mic cu mare la Inter, căci jucătorii de poker, indiferent de calibru, știu că nu pot pierde o asemenea ocazie.

Festivalul va reuni competitorii români cu musafiri din peste 20 de țări și Israelul va flutura steagul cel mai mare, căci peste 100 de participanți israelieni sunt așteptați la finele lui noiembrie. Această comunitate are deja de multă vreme România drept destinație preferată pentru escapadele cu poker, operatorul Israeli Poker Championship fiind deja un partener tradițional pentru cei de la PokerFest. De aici și particula IPC din denumirea evenimentului: „Festival aniversar PokerFest & IPC București”.

PokerFestul își încheie așadar 8 ani de activitate. Pentru inimoasa echipă care dă cărți din 2011, cei 8 ani au însemnat peste 100 de festivaluri, peste 1000 de turnee diverse, zeci de mii de participanți și mult peste 10 milioane de euro în premii. La PokerFest s-au jucat milioane de mâini live în 5 țări și sute de trofee se află acum la loc de cinste în vitrinele iubitorilor pokerului. Altfel spus, cuvântul PokerFest a intrat deja în istoria pokerului românesc și e departe de a-și fi încheiat misiunea.

Spre ușurarea operatorilor din industria pokerului live și spre bucuria jucătorilor pasionați, perioada de recesiune a pokerului declanșată de Vinerea Neagră în 2011 se pare că s-a încheiat în ce privește pokerul live. Numărul de clienți ai cluburilor de poker și festivalurilor crește în mod constant pretutindeni și deja mulți operatori înregistrează diverse recorduri: de participare, de premii, de buy-in. De acest trend se bucură și comunitatea românească iar creșterea anvergurii seriei PokerFest este cel mai clar semnal.

De unde această magie fără sfârșit a pokerului live? Nicio explicație nu poate înlocui experiența directă.
